My Dad

No, it's not Father's Day, and it's not his birthday, but I think my dad is awesome every day. I think my dad is the best dad there is. I'm sure there are a few of you out there who would like to dispute this and say that your own dad is the best, but I know it isn't true because my dad is. I was going to wait until his birthday or Father's Day to publish this sentence completion list I produced in primary when I was about five or six, but I just couldn't wait so here it is:
  1. MY FATHER LOOKS MOST HANDSOME WHEN: at work
  2. MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT MY FATHER IS: gives me doughnuts and ice cream and takes me special places
  3. MY FATHER GETS ANGRY AT ME WHEN: I don't clean up my toys
  4. MY FATHER LOVES ME WHEN: it's time to go to bed
  5. THE FUNNIEST THING I CAN REMEMBER ABOUT MY FATHER IS: he was an owl when I was a baby
  6. MY FATHER NEVER: sneaks in my mom's purse
  7. IF I COULD GIVE MY FATHER SOMETHING SPECIAL FROM ME, IT WOULD BE: a song that my mom will play so I can sing
  8. I WANT TO SAY "THANK YOU, FATHER" FOR: clothes, candy, food
Just to clarify; my dad was never an actual owl, he just dressed up like one once, I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to hear me sing, and I would like to add college tuition to "clothes, candy, food".

I'm so glad you posted that! I had to giggle quietly because I'm in a cubicle.

I am glad someone (besides me) posted. I love that list. I wish had saved stuff like that to post.

I am working on posting on Jill's, but I will let everyone know when it happens.

That's great! I love your Primary list. And that picture could be Phil and Jakey!

The photo was from Halloween 1969.

Dad never dressed up as an owl but once, in La Porte, I persuaded him to dress up like a turkey. He said, Never again! You were a baby then.

Love, Mom

I found my list like yours the other day and I mentioned that my Dad never pinches me. To this day, he still doesn't pinch me.

He doesn't pinch me either.
