Warm Peaches with Whipped Cream
Anita called me to ask for summer fruit inspiration to feed the missionaries, and this is what I came up with (one of my favorites). It's delicious and easy. I thought you all might want to be inspired for the delicious fruit desserts of summer. After all, it is the best part of summer.
6 ripe yellow peaches
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cut each peach in half, then cut each half into 4 slices. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Reduce heat to medium-low, sprinkle the sugar over the butter, and stir until dissolved, about 1 minute. Add the peaches, increase heat to medium-high, and cook, stirring frequently, until the peaches are softened and coated with a thin sauce, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand a few minutes. Meanwhile, in a bowl, beat the cream and vanilla until soft peaks form. Spoon the peaches and sauce into bowls and serve with a dollop of whipped cream.
Yield: Makes 4 servings

Thank you Wali. I'm hoping that this dish will prove most delicious. Actually, I'm totally stoked to try this out but alas I have only 5 peaches. No big deal. The rest of dinner should be very filling.
You don't have to have six peaches. Six was way too many for Scott, Phil, and I last summer. I got inspired too, I am making it with our two peaches that on the verge of spoil. Should be delicious!
Mmmmmmm. This sounds so good! I'm putting peaches on my shopping list right now...
That looks delicious and easy, the most 2 important things when I decide to make something. I need peaches now.
I gotta get me some of that! I may even have to leave work early to stop by the store . . .
Oh, okay, I was thinking of taking off early anyway, but that does sound so good!
