Photo: Anita's Quilt
The Christmas/baby box was opened by baby sis, little Anita, yesterday, and so it is finally safe to post pictures of her new Christmas quilt. Anita LOVES red and she loves Asian design, based loosely on her friend Risa from Japan. Risa left her some rather impressive swords, which are currently in her BFF, Krusteen's, care in Virginia. Phil and I sewed a pocket on the back of this quilt so that she could make it a wall hanging to be flanked by said swords when she gets them back from Krusteen. Word on the street is that hubby, Cy, does want to hang it on the wall because he also loves red and Asian design. Phil and I are very pleased at the reaction of the giftees.
After April opens hers we'll post that one. I did not have time to photograph Derek's cereal quilt, so maybe his mother will send us a photo of it when he opens it at Christmas.

Hanging things is good, but wrapping oneself up in things is better.
That looks luxurious. I might be afraid to wrap up in it for fear that it would loose some luxuriousness.
It was actually a japanese long bow that stands at about 2 meters tall. I can still hang it on the wall and Cy can put up his katana. we shall call the exhibit "Silk and Steel", because that is what a warrior should be.
Wow I'm a nerd. Please don't hold this against me.
Either way, it's still weaponry.
It is so pretty and I just want to touch it! It looks so silky!
