Granted, there were moments that were better, like the moment baby Leah emerged to say hello for the first time, but as whole days go, this was the best.
Hubby and I have made it a point in our 11+ year relationship to religiously go on dates at least once a week to do something fun. Since I got sick, and basically became a shut-in, it's been a lot harder to go on weekly dates. Sadly dates have more become less than monthly.
Saturday was great, not only because we got to go on a date, but because we went to a massively beautiful flower garden at a local university. And oh my, the weather was perfect, about 74F and sunny with a slight breeze. There were brides and little girls in puffy, yellow sundresses all over the place. The smells were divine, and I wanted to stay in that day forever.

It was a banner day. Hubby's been walking three inches in the air ever since. Boy have we missed date day!
