Orphan Christmas: Limerick Contest

**Congratulations to Team Other: Emily, AJ, and Big Dave. The clear winners, with a landslide victory of six votes.**

What is Orphan Christmas, you say? I'm glad you asked, because every year me and my gang have an Orphan Christmas party. We do it because we all moved here from somewhere else, not because we are actual orphans.

This year (like two years ago), we held a contest for which we think the Internet should be the judge. That's you, you're the Internet. So read our contest limericks and leave your vote in the comments section below. Voting ends at midnight on December 31st. Yes, that's right. Dick Clark's ball and our limericks (if only Dick were still hosting the ball drop). The winners of the contest get to keep some shred of their dignity, and add limericist to their resume.

Team 1
When Santa took off in his sleigh
He was pissed it took all darn day
All year the reindeer were lazy
It sure was making him crazy
So next Christmas he made them filet

Team Other
There was an old fellow named Clause
He fell and busted his schnozz
His wife was to blame
Her intent was to mame
He was late Christmas Day with no cause

If you ask both your father and mother,
Who know a lot more than your brother,
We read both the rhymes
To select the best lines,
And the winner is clearly Team Other.

I really wished Team 1 hadn't used 'pissed' in their limerick. So my vote goes to Team Other.

I vote for team one BECAUSE they used the word 'pissed'.
