Barley & Lentil Soup: Wheat-free

My friend, Lora Leigh, stopped by yesterday and brought me the gift of this barley and lentil soup recipe. Wonderfully, it is free of all the things I have been forbidden from eating as of late. It is free of: wheat gluten, corn, soy, dairy, sugar, potato, nuts, and shellfish. I used all organic ingredients in an effort to keep the soup free of toxins of all kinds. This is so easy to make and I expect good things at 6:00 when I eat it.

That's not Lora Leigh Nash, is it?? I totally know her and I think she lives in NC somewhere...

Glad you found a recipe that works... I LOVE lentils and barley so I'll have to try this one out.

It is indeed. She lives around the corner from me. How do you know her?

Wow... small world, isn't it? I met Hannah in college when Joe roomed with Garrett. Garrett's mom had me set them up in the same apartment since I was dating Joe and Garrett and I grew up in the same stake... yeh, that's about the simplest way I can think of explaining it. How fun to cross paths in a random place! How do you know Hannah?

Hannah and I grew up in the same ward, but I was far enough ahead of her that she was one of my first students in the primary when I was 18. I know her whole family pretty well, and she mine. This is a very small world.

Awesome! So I have to ask you if you are feeling any better yet with the new diet restrictions?! I hope so!

I am feeling a lot better. My energy levels are way up and I am sickly much less of the time.

Barley is not gluten-free.

I stand corrected. I changed the title to match that it is in fact free of wheat gluten, which I stated in the body of the text. Thanks for catching the typo.
