Hurricane Hanna Banana

In case anyone was worried about lil' ol' us, we're fine. Hanna barely did anything to us. We got some rain and some wind. We have one tiny tree knocked over and a few more leaves in the yard, but we're otherwise no worse for the wear. Some of our road is closed, but every time we get a lot of rain the little creek down the street from us floods. It seems to happen ten times a year since we've moved in.

The sun is already out and shining and we're heading to the dirt mall to get hubby some new work shoes. We did all our Saturday errands yesterday, so we get to play a little today. At least our grass got a big drink. No drought this year. Phew!

PS - Apparently hurricanes put me in the mood for shepherd's pie. Who knew that shepherd's pie was hurricane food. It will be delish tonight.

AJ did have some hopes that a tree would crash down our roof and insurance would get us a new one. Oh, well. At least the garden benefitted from this "hurricane."

Most hurricanes/tornados (in my experience anyway) seem to be a lot more hype than any damage..well, except Katrina.

Glad to hear y'all are alright (and since Em commented I am assuming she is good too).

Shepherd's Pie is comfort food. That and meat loaf and roast beef and mashed potatoes and macarroni and tomato soup. I think hurricanes warrent comfort food.
