3c. cooked pasta noodle of your choice
1/4 c. butter
2 TBSP cornstarch (heaping)
2 c. milk
2 c. shredded cheese
4 oz cream cheese (block style)
Preheat oven to 350 F. Over medium heat, melt butter. Stir cornstarch into the milk until smooth. Poor milk mixture slowly while stirring into the melted butter. Stir constantly until the mixture thickens and turns shiny. Add 1 1/2c. cheese and cream cheese. Keep cooking and stirring until cheese is blended in. Place into greased casserole dish and mix with the cooked pasta, top with remainder of shredded cheese and pop in the oven for about 25 minutes. Bread crumbs can be added to the top before baking if you like that sort of thing.

I seriously am about to cry. It's another hour until lunch, and you can bet the cafetorium doesn't have anything that delicious.
Yes on the cream cheese. It makes a big difference in the taste.

The only mac'n cheese I've ever had is from a box, and I find that disgusting. But this sounds good. Perhaps I will try it. What kind of shredded cheese? Cheddar?
Any kind you want, but I used Mozerella.
Yum...too bad I'm on freakin WW! I'll still make this for the fam and steal a few bites!
